Pursuit of a nation

#10 Pursuit of a nation

Freeze the outline
of a molten memory,
a thousand times
repeated till
we could sing
every atom.
The mother breeze
across the fields,
our own sun
trickling down
our foreheads.
We were born
in the moist,
in your humid,
deep in green rivers.
Spread your ocean,
I imagine some
currency
and construct a dialect
in pursuit
of a nation.

Overdose

#9 Overdose

Count your fingers,
I can’t be
your feather.
Come brothers
and sisters
of usual and sarcasm -
speak of
undisturbed vision,
landscapes
wide into the wild.
Gather our spirits
near cheerful
yet solemn,
guilty of gluttony,
an overdose of
sweetness,
a realistic approach
towards infinity.

Valley

July 12, 2012

#8 Valley

Float me down
across envy lines
of steep
and perhaps snow.
Silence
beckons as if
these folded moments,
separated
by the valley,
about nothing
in particular -
the gliding away,
the space between
the monsters,
where we spend
our emotions,
little buckets
of sleep
over your eyes.
